Hostess Note: If you are planning on being here, please email me. I need to know how many folks to expect so I know how much food to fix for the Saturday night BB-Q. Thanks!

The sites range from primitive tent sites to cabins with electricity, but no inside water, and RV sites. There are showers
and a pool for customers. Bed linens can be rented from the office. There are also dataports for phone and internet access.
There will be a bb-q dinner at the pavilion on Saturday night. BYOB and appetites. That that I’ve ever met a Maggot
who didn’t bring their appetite… The campground hosts a pancake breakfast on Sundays.

Just open for business within the last few months, this place looks to be shaping up into a nice little campground.
Currently, all that is available are campsites, but there are some very good looking cabins being constructed, and the pavilion
area is very nice. The main parking lot is gravel, but the owners have put in a paved driveway about 5’ wide just for
motorcycles, with concrete parking in front of the office.

Just up the road from the KOA about a mile, this campground features electric and water at the sites and economy Maggot pricing.
The conditions were a little rough last year.
Cabins
All cabins are advertised as fully furnished with linens and cookware.

About 4 miles from KOA on the same road, the best thing about this location is the drive to get to it. Caney Creek’s
management does believe in deep, soft gravel driveways, so please keep that in mind if you are a gravel wuss like your hostess.

These are located within sight of KOA on Rafter Road, near the river. There are 5 or 6 cabins and a 2 bedroom cottage, all
fully furnished with linens and dishes and such in the kitchen. The service is very good. Prices on the cabins start at
$39 per night, the cottage is around $88 per night, I believe. The cottage has it’s own gas grill and covered porch.

Actually, these are a pair of houses which hang right over the river, about a quarter mile from KOA campground. They are
just across the road from the Mountain View Cabins. I don’t know anything else about them.

Just down the road from Mountain View Cabin Rentals. I don’t know much about it except that it’s close.
Bed & Breakfasts and Other Places to Look
The local B&Bs are all located within the town of Tellico Plains, less than a mile from the main campsite. I have not stayed
at any of them, so I cannot vouch for their charm, economy, or service.
