The kit is based on drawings of these transports built, with many details taken from photographs.

The kit is cast in a soft styrene-like gray resin. Two piece and one piece molds were used to make the castings.

The kit is complete; all the modeler need add is glue & paint. Deck details such as cargo hatches, bollards, winches and lower superstructure are cast onto the hull. The Brass PE fret has railings, supports for the various platforms, 20MM gun shields, tackle for the cargo booms, and boat davits. Rod is provided for the cargo booms and topmasts.

The USS ALAMOSA C-1 CARGO kit consists of a resin hull and parts, photoetch & instructions. The kit is cast in a soft styrene-like gray. Two piece molds were used to make the castings, so there is no overpour to sand away. The kit assembles like an injection molded kit.
