Hello! Welcome to the download area for demonstration copies of Computronics LOGMON software for Unix systems. LOGMON is a tool that monitors user activity and gracefully allows you to log off idle users. To use LOGMON you will need three files: * This README file, which you can download as an ASCII file as /pub/logmon/README * The LOGMON manual, which is available in text form or as a ready to print Postscript file, or as an Acrobat PDF file. If you have the Acrobat Reader, use the file /pub/logmon/logmon_manual.pdf If you prefer to print a Postscript file, use the file: /pub/logmon/logmon_manual.ps.Z This file is compressed and will need to be uncompressed on a Unix system before printing. If you need a text version of the manual, download the ASCII file /pub/logmon/logmon_manual.txt * You will need the executable version of Logmon. Look for a directory named as in your platform (aix, hpux, etc). Go to that directory and download the file that matches your Unix version. Contact Computronics if you are not sure what version to download. Make sure you download a binary file. In many browsers you will need to hold down while clicking on the file name to keep the browser from trying to uncompress the file for you. Finally, before installing the software, you need to execute the command on your Unix system: cpio -icmvdu < logmon_platform.cpio (Use the proper platform, as discussed above). At this time, you will have a directory called logmon_dist and you can install it as documented in the Logmon manual. Questions? Contact Computronics at: "support@computronics.com" or phone 630/941-7767 or fax 630/941-7714. Note that you will need to get a setup code to enable the software. Contact Computronics for the code that you need when you get to the appropriate installation step. Thank you!
