The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway by Genesis (1974). This is one of the last, if not the very last, Genesis album featuring Peter Gabriel. It’s a double album, filled with the sort of orchestrated progressive rock that Genesis helped invent in the late 1960s. Like many double albums it can seem overlong, but there are lots of good moments. “Carpet Crawlers” is a good tune, as is the title cut. I remember some audiophile friends of mine in high school using this album to demonstrate the sonic capabilities of high end audio equipment.
