Rapid Line 522 which is identical to Line 22 and former Bonus Bus/Limited Stop 300 that operated from Eastridge to Palo Alto via Capitol, Alum Rock, Santa Clara, The Alameda and The El Camino.  Rapid 522 operates 15 minutes Monday through Saturday approximately 6am till 7pm making 30 stops in each directions.  I highly recommend riders to use this route if they are traveling long distances, otherwise, use Line 22.   In order for this new service to operate Line 22 service was adjusted from every 10 minutes to 12 minutes and Line 64 between San Jose CalTrain to Alum Rock every 15 minutes to 30 minutes. 

To operate this route, VTA uses Gillig Coaches 1016 and 1017, 1019-1029 and New Flyer Artics 2308-2312.  Notice, the New Flyer Artic above does not have a coach number, many coaches were ‘wrapped’ fast and placed into service.
