The porch that became a Great Hall

The tarp that was shading our back porch was insufficient

Holes were drilled in to the concrete to secure post brackets.

10ft long 4x6’s were stood up to make corner posts

4x4 cross pieces connect the upright posts

The base frame is together now the roof frame is needed

2X6 rafters are installed with vertical 4X4’s to support the ridgepole

Wow this takes a lot of wood!

The hot sun is slowing us down.

A tarp is added to give us shade

Now the remaining rafters can be installed in comfort.

And here it is almost finished and setup to dine 28 people
