Concept and
Functionality:
I developed
these prototypes for the White House home page to demonstrate ways to
improve the look/feel, navigation, and user experience using cross-browser
dynamic HTML technologies (cascading style sheets and JavaScript). The
prototypes were partly based upon a design prepared by Adjacency Inc.
for the White House Communications Office. The designs I proposed attempted
to address the shortcomings in both the current site and in the Adjacency
proposals. These prototypes are not fully functioning--some of the navigation
links work to show how the site fits together, but none of the content
links work, and many of the graphics are rough sketches rather than final
products.
