Michael Cooper reported: "William Newhook was a Gospal Preacher and is now buried in the Gospal Preacher's Cemetary in Norman's Cove, Trinity Bay, Nfld. ... William Newhook liked very strong coffee. William's exact date and place of birth has been verified by using the certificate TCB-2. William Newhook apparently was born around 1871 (according to Louise Newhook). However, there was a William Newhook born Nov 8, 1864 according to PANL records.

Date: Nov 18, 1886 Place: Church of St. John the Baptist, Norman's Cove Groom: William Newhook Maritual Status: Bachelor Residence: Chappel Arm, Trinity Bay Bride: Elizabeth Smith Marital Status: Spinster Residence: Chappel Arm, Trinity Bay Witnesses: Samuel Newhook, and Robert Smith Clergy: Arthur C. Waghorne"

Michael Cooper reported: "Elizabeth Newhook died July 22, 1919 at the age of 48. This information was copied from her death certificate DC-4. I believe a year of birth derived from this information is more accurate than the True Copy of Birth I have now.

"Therefore, until I can prove that this information is accurate, the following is all the information I had about Elizabeth before I received her death certificate: Elizabeth Smith Date of Birth: October 22, 1866 in Chance Cove, Trinity Bay Daughter of Nathaniel and Eve Smith. ... Baptized September 6, 1867 by Rev. Henry Petley. Father's occupation - fisherman"

Michael Cooper reported Johanna was probably born at Thornlea and died at Norman's Cove.
