STRONG, Reginald Clive - Corner Brook, NF. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Reginald Clive Strong announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, August 7th, 2001 at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife Maria Strong; two sons: Robert (Carmel), St. John's, Derek (Tami), British Columbia; two daughters: Shirley (William Brown), Bridgewater, NS, and Marie (Ben Hickey), Corner Brook; eight grandchildren: Jason and Robbie Hickey, Lauren and Joshua Strong, Michael and Shannon Brown, Matthew and Adam Strong; brothers: William (Evelyn), USA, Ross (Marion), Ontario, Roy St. John's, and Jack (Jean), Pasadena; sisters: Nellie (Lemual Knight), Jackson's Cove and Winnifred Strong, Jackson's Cove; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will be receiving friends from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Wednesday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 10:00 to 12 noon. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 9th at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church, Park Street, Rev. John Adams officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
