To whom it may concern,

I am not actively pursuing any new job opportunites at this time. However, I am always willing to listen to any reasonable offers.

My background includes extensive experience with large mainframe computing systems, specifically Amdahl and IBM, and related software/subsystems such as MVS, JES3, CICS, IDMS, and IMS.  Additionally, I am very experienced with various IBM compatible personal computers, such as Dell, Gateway, and Compaq, and related software/applications and hardware. I also have years of experience as an automation programmer using tools such as Computer Associates OPS/MVS and Microsoft’s Visual Basic.  I am very proficient in using many Microsoft related products and tend to learn new products and technologies with relative ease.  I work efficiently on individual and team-oriented projects.

Most of my job experiences and programming skills were achieved while working for Amoco Corporation in Tulsa, Oklahoma for nearly 19 years prior to accepting a severance package after the British Petroleum takeover in 1999.  I am very interested in obtaining a position that will allow me to broaden my knowledge of systems automation, application and software development, and web development interests.

Please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience in the event that I may be of service to your organization.

Respectfully,

L.J. Wheeler
