BWI airport area; easy drive to the theatre. Kitchens, nicely appointed; helpful and friendly staff. $69.00 per night. This
was not company housing. I called myself to get the rate. Rate may change depending on nnumber of people and time of year.

An OK Holiday Inn; good location. Some of the rooms were renovated. Mine wasn't, but it was huge, and I was very happy there
for two weeks once I rearranged the furniture. The hotel was walking distance from the theatre and not too far to the Inner
Harbor area where there were tons of restuarants. The pitfalls were that the internet connection was crappy and room service
was not throughout the day and closed off pretty early.

Refurbished rooms are nice, otherwise, not so much.

I didn't actually get to this museum, but it looks like another nice little spot in the same building as the Geppi (see below).
The ladies who run the ticket booth were so proud of their museum that I thought they were going to bust. They were the ones
who sent me to Faidley's.

Don (my husband) made it to the Babe Ruth Museum. Cool stuff if you're a fan.

If you're a child of Pop Culture as I am, you will love this place. It opened on Friday, September 8, 2006 and I was guest
number 245 (actually only the fifth guest on the actual opening day). It's located in the same building as the Baseball History
Museum, which is actually one of the oldest railroad depot buildings in the US. It is basically a display of one man's huge
collection of comic books, movie posters, TV guide, and Star Wars figures, but it's a fun way to kill an hour or so.

$21.95 admission, $24.95 if you want to see the dolphin show. It's not the greatest aquarium I've been to, but it's nice enough.
The dolphin show was cute. It's not much more than a 90-minute trip, I would say.

Not great sushi. Not very fresh tasting, but good enough if you want a sushi fix. Along the water, so ambiance is pretty.

An Irish pub right near the theatre. It's got a great menu, pub standards like Guiness stew and Shepherd's Pie and some more
updated fare. It's in an old bank building with some great spaces to hang out in.

Near Inner Harbor area in Little Itlay. Good old-style cooking. Apparently a Baltimore staple. Two different friends who are
from Baltimore told me to go there. Our meal was just OK, not great; a bit disappointing.

All the food you could want, fresh fruit, butchers, delis, Chinese, fried chicken, bakeries, seafood, soul food, you name
it. The trick, as my sound guy Jason said, is to get in and get what you want and get out, before you end up smelling like
the market. A few of my favorite discoveries there are listed below.

Berger's Bakery
Lexington Market
|
They have these cookies called simply Berger's Best. They are a plain cake type cookie with about half an inch of chocolate
fudge frosting slathered on them. They have more frosting than cookie - super sweet and rather addicting! Also, good Florentines,
and they had some nice looking cakes and brownies, although I didn't sample them. I was too obsessed with the Berger's.

Faidley's Seafood
Lexington Market
|
The best crabs cakes I've ever had! They're not cheap, $12.95 each, but they are de-lish! You can also get half a pound of
crack and peel shrimp that they will steam for you. Those were my two favorite things there and I had them several times.

Krause's Lite Fare
Lexington Market
|
There wasn't anything "lite" about this place. They have fresh roasted turkey sandwiches and full turkey dinners
that would feed two. The stuffing was super moist, but they drown it all in gravy so be warned. I would get it on the side.

Park's Fried Chicken
Lexington Market
|
A very popular stop in the market. They have fried chicken everything, from the usual breasts and wings to more exotic items
like fried chicken livers (I didn't try those). You can get the chicken with seasoned salt (my fave), hot sauce, etc. Very
reasonable prices, and ready immediately.
