Kit Materials Quality materials

The kits are full of real science materials, thermometers, scales, magnifiers, etc., in quantities that allow students to work in pairs, ensuring that every student experiments. The materials have been chosen for their quality and durability to avoid additional purchases of science equipment in the coming years. There are very few consumable materials and most are common items that can be purchased at local discount stores. (plastic bags, cups, vinegar) The kits are supplied with enough consumable materials to be used with 4 or more classes. Any materials not provided in the kit are common items such as chalk or tape and are marked with an * in the materials list in the lesson plans.
The science equipment is organized in teacher friendly kits, with materials for each lesson grouped together in a large, heavy-duty zip-lock bag to reduce teacher preparation time. An inventory on each bag assists teachers in keeping all materials organized in the kit. (See sample Bag Labels for Electricity below.) A complete inventory of materials in the kit is found at the end of the teachers' manuals and inside the kit. (sample Electricity materials list below.)
