At The Newburgh Waterfront. On any given weekend during the summer, this area takes on the carnival atmosphere of New Orleans. Each of the 7 restaurants along the Front Street waterfront overlook New-burgh Bay. Many restaurants, with windows spanning from floor to ceiling, provide panoramic views of the Hudson River and represent the largest group of transient docking available on the Hudson River. Also there are restaurants serviced by Front Street Marina. Front Street Marina represents an opportunity for individual and groups of boaters to "Rendezvous" at a located above the restaurants called Waters Edge Salon and Spa. The Front Street Marina docks provide docking for boaters wishing to experience any of the 6 restaurants or the spa, "Waters Edge" above it. If you are planning a "rendezvous," transit docking is available at the rate of $2.75 per foot per night. There is 30-amp service and water hookup available. The summer slip rental is 75.00 per foot. The dock master is Arthur Verhey and due to the tremendous demand for available temporary or regular slip space it is very important that you call ahead to 845 661 4914. (Note of caution, do not try to dock on the outside edge of the marina's docks. There are no bumpers there)

Gully's Restaurant, at the "New" Newburgh Municipal Launch Ramp, 845 565 0077, West Shore. The launch ramp is found 1.4 miles south of the Newburgh/Beacon Bridge. Gully's is really two restaurants in one location. The upstairs open air deck is a super casual place for food, drink, music, conversation and the best show in town; watching the individual cars and trailers launch their boats right underneath you. If you have never seen anyone dump their car and trailer in the water at the same time, drop their boat on the ramp without ever touching the water, or having the car and trailer part company because the driver did not fasten down the trailer hitch ball or fasten the safety chain, then this is the place to see it all. Open Sunday- Thursday 4 PM until 10 PM and 4PM to 11 PM Friday & Saturday. Gully's features an extensive menu, which ranges from nachos to swordfish with a full menu of seafood specialties and steaks available all day long. There is docking for about 10 boats right alongside the floating barge.
