Little Leather Library - Identification - Bookends

There are three known types of bookend pairs that were offered with purchase of "Little Leather Library" sets.

Lincoln Head Bookends

These bookends were offered as a bonus for purchase of a thirty-book set, Type III "Redcroft Edition," during late 1923 and early 1924. According to the advertisements, these bookends were "made of heavy bronzed metal, with Lincoln's head in bas-relief." They were offered from October 1923 through March 1924 in limited quantities, on a first-come basis.

"Ten Commandments" Bookends

These bookends were offered for $0.69 along with the purchase of the thirty-volume "Holy Bible" set.
