Welcome to the Little Leather Library
Thirty-five years ago I inherited a box full of curious little red and green books from my grandfather. After faithfully carrying these books from place to place through the years and puzzling over them once in a while, I decided to find out what this Little Leather Library that didn't really look like real leather was all about.
Even with the global reach of the Internet, details are not readiy available. I found an active on-line presence of buyers and sellers of Little Leather Library voumes on eBay, and their assistancce has been quite useful.
I have started this web site to share what I have discovered so far. This is a work in progress, and I intend to update it as additional information comes my way.
I do not claim to be an expert on antique books in general, or the specifics of the Little Leather Library in particular. Much of the information on this site has been personally verified, some is second-hand, and parts are pure conjecture.
Take what you find here with a grain of salt, for it is far from being the final word.
