ILT Master's Projects

Below are titles and brief descriptions of each project submitted for my ILT portfolio, with links to the project pages containing more detailed information.

I created this project during an Independent Study class led by Jackie Dobrovolny. It fulfills the Management course requirement for the ILT program. In the project, six of us (two teams of three) analyzed current Park Service training, and developed methods to improve staff training for writing required reports.

In this project, which I created in the Multimedia Authoring: Advanced Web class and continued developing in the Instructional Development and Production class, I studied the principles of color theory, and designed a Web site to explain the principles, and ways to use color theory in design.

I built this project in Flash for the online Media for Web-Based Learning Environments class. It introduces seven famous female artists, shows an example of each woman's work, and includes a brief biography of each artist.

I created the Tables to CSS project in the Designs for Online Learning class to explain how to design a basic Web site using Cascading Style Sheets, and no tables for layout. I developed a sample table layout, and the weekly assignments explain how to create a similar layout using CSS.

I created this Web site in the online Media for Web-Based Learning Environments class. It introduces the learner to basic Spanish verbs and the rules of conjugating them in the present indicative tense, the first verb tense that students of Spanish typically learn.

In our Research in Information and Learning Technologies class, my team of five examined the ILT program as it currently exists, and changes in the past that led up to its current structure. We compared similar programs nationwide to try to find ways to improve the ILT program, and recommended suggestions for improvement.
