I am now a land baron, rather than a landless peasant. I FINALLY got a contract accepted on a condo today -- try number six. It's a very large one bedroom -- 1100 square feet, which here is astronomical. And although the prices here are insane, it's well under my budget, so due to the original 1974 kitchen and architecture, I will be interviewing contractors to GUT the kitchen and put in a nice shiny new one. It won't cost that much because the kitchen is TINY, as is the bathroom. However, the rest of the place is huge, cheap, and all utilities and even DirectTV are included in the monthly condo fee.
