Five Things I Honestly Don't Care About, Which Probably Make Me An Evil Person
1. Gay marriage
2. Whether Carrie whatever her name is goes off with Big or Mischa
3. The Passion/Did the Jews Kill Jesus?
4. Abortion
5. Dick Cheney and his ties to Halliburton, Saddam and Oil (Oh yeah, throw in the Alaska Wildlife Refuge drilling brouhaha)
I know I'm supposed to profoundly care about these things and have a strong stand one way or another, but I honestly can't get exercised about. Not opposed to any of these things per se, but neither am I for them. My general reaction is: "Whatever. Shut up about it already. Chill out."

Jeez. Take a look at this. Somebody needs a humor enema, quick.
In a blast of boredom this afternoon, I took one of those tests on eMode to kill some time. This one was called "Why are you still single, you loser?" (okay, part of that title's mine) When I got the answer, it was all very standard, don't want to slow down, you're busy, blah, blah, blah. But there was one line in the answer that jumped out at me: "Chances are, you've met that perfect person who just so happens to be married or planning their own cross-country move. So take a step back for a moment. Is there something underlying this? Could it be you're afraid to get involved for some reason or another.."
Excuse me? This answer makes it seem like I'm the one with the problem if I should meet someone who's the perfect person 'who just so happens to be married'? Call me old fashioned, call me an uptight stick-in-the-mud, but isn't not pursuing a married person supposed to be a good thing? I don't think it's a lack of resolve or daring, I think it's a surplus of scruples.
Anyhoo, I think I'll go on now to see if "my pad is rad or bad".
