Merry Christmas, unless you're one of the Grinches from GNC

So, I'm wandering around good old New York, and I had discovered that I'm nearly out of vitamins. I thought I had another bottle, but it turns out that that bottle was really big calcium pills, so I was SOL. "That's okay," I told myself. "There's a GNC in that shopping center over there". So I enter into the GNC, grab my vitamins, and go over to the counter. I whip out my handy-dandy GNC card, for which I paid $15 in late August. "That's not going to do you any good today," said the man behind the counter. "Those cards are only good for the first through the seventh of each month". "Excuse me? That's not what it says on the card or in the shop where I purchased it." "Oh, it's always been that way." "Hmm, I seem to recall the phrase 'anytime, anywhere' when I was talked into getting this card," says I. "Nope. First through the seventh only. They told you". "No they didn't. I can GUARANTEE you that had that been brought up, or had it been true, there is no way this card would ever have been purchased." "Well, a lot of stores do that. But you should have known". "Strikes me that this is a big racket." And to his credit, the guy behind the counter, said "it is."

So bah humbug to GNC, who will be getting a letter and a request for a refund in the very near future.
