In the surprising news category -- David Letterman's girlfriend had a baby. They've named him Harry. Letterman and babies? Where the hell have I been? Oh yeah, Kansas.

I shall be away for a day or two, as I'm off to Missouri for a short break in a five star hotel. I'm not sure what that means in Missouri, but it's better than where I am. I've checked. Everyone is asking me what I'm going to go see in Missouri. My answer -- the marble shower, the bed, the bathtub, the spa, the restaurant and the market. I am NOT getting up at oh-dark-thirty to drive all day to see a wheatfield much like the ones I'm seeing now.

As we've said many times before, Lily and roughing it do NOT belong in the same sentence. Unless it's that one.
