Just a note to say I'm up and around again. All the other medication I'm taking to prevent every kind of Kansas-type nasty bug and buglet seem to have prevented all the secondary infections from taking root, so I can breathe and I'm not coughing. Thank heavens for small things, I guess.
In other news....oh wait, this is Kansas. There is no other news.

Kansas sux, redux
So, I'm sitting here in Kansas, minding my own business, when WHAM! Patient Zero (not me) gets a nasty-ass head cold. Given the tight quarters in which we live and work, the nasty-ass head cold is now visiting yours truly. Now, usually I'm not an exceedingly bad patient, and I just stay home, in my bed, drinking tea and soup and vegging out in front of the teevee. However, as this is Kansas, my bed is like it's made of rocks, there is NO WAY to get hot water at 3 am (actually between 7:30 pm and 6:30 am), the soup, available during dining hours only, is starch glop soup (yesterday's was corn-rice soup, in a cornstarch base) and or course there is no teevee, only roommates who aren't keen on being up all night with you. I went to see the doctor yesterday, and he DID give me some nice green pills so that I stop sneezing all over the five people who haven't gotten the cold yet. He blames the cold on all the Nebraskans, Indianans, and Wyoming-ites who came to Kansas to work, but aren't medically screened before coming into our little corner of Kansas.
Can I come home yet?
