Reiki Concerns

A concerned visitor wrote:
"Some say it should cost $175 for the 1st degree, $500 for the 2nd degree and $1000 for the Master degree. I also know a Reiki-2 in Germany who offers distant healing for DM120/hr (c. $80/h). Now I read on your page ALL DISTANT HEALING is free .... Is it posssible for you to send me the 2nd attunement per distant? or give me on-line training?"

I feel that those prices are too high. Below are the standard prices of the Center with which I used to be associated with:

Advanced Reiki Training is offered to practioners who want the use of the Usui Master Symbol, but do not intend to pass Attunements or Teach. (The Usui Master symbol is a high energy healing symbol.)

Distant healings are usually $15.00 and hands-on healings are normally $40.00 per session for a full treatment that lasts around an hour or an hour and a half.

I personally have chosen not always to adhere to all of these prices. If a person comes to me for healing I suggest that they learn Reiki 1 instead, so that they can minister to their own needs for free and also help those around them.

I have chosen the path of not charging for Reiki or any of the Symbol Healing techniques that I use and Teach at all. I feel that Healers do not have the right to withhold Healing for lack of funds. However, we must honor the choices that others make and not judge them for the lessons that they have chosen to receive. Each person has their own Path. Paths can sometimes be challenging enough.We do not need the extra burden of other people judging us along the way.

Old Soul Reiki offers Reiki and non- Reiki exchanges for Healers and non-Healers to participate in, and recieve treatment with some of the finest Healers in the Austin area for free. The Healers often leave a couple of dollars Love offering to the people that host these three weekly events for providing drinks and snacks, as it is the considerate thing to do.

I have received many letters asking about Distant Attunements. This is a subject that needs serious attention from the Reiki Community. I have been devoting time and energy to this subject, so please write for more information.

This is not an advertisment for Distant Attunements. Please do not write asking for them. This invitation is strictly for an exchange of information with those who are also interested in accumulating knowledge of the Healing Arts.

I have performed two distant Attunements. With the proper Intent from both parties and myself ... both worked. It is not however something that I do lightly, without serious consideration, or without ceremony. There is much to be considered here.

When a person recieves an Attunement, their vibration is raised. This causes the person to shed some of the toxins in their Physical, Emotional and Spiritual bodies. A student is well advised to have the guidance and support of their chosen Master to help with any processing that the new Healer is going through.

Also, there is the need for a new Healer to work with those people that can give sound and experienced advice and confirmation along the way. This is very important and I cannot stress it enough.
