This soundtrack to the first, and by far best, of the two Conan movies is a heartpounding and moving musical composition that is sure to conjure up memories of some of the film's grander moments.  Starting with the opening lines from the film, this soundtrack instantly plunges you into the fantastical and adventurous realm of the movie, and it doesn't let up until the final notes.

 

Now, I'm no music expert and I couldn't possibly begin to characterize this in any 'technical' terms, but I DO know what I like.  This soundtrack has become a beloved addition to the collections of anyone that is a fan of fantasy settings filled with magic, dragons, and legendary warriors.  It's pulsepounding bass and lofty range fill the ear and leave no conceivable room for addition or alteration.

 

Even though this score came out over 2 decades ago, it is still one of the best I have ever had the pleasure of listening to.  I'm not usually one to enjoy the entire CD of ANY form of music, so when I recommend one it is only because I truly love it.  Give this one a try and I'm sure you'll fall in love with it too.  Due to its age, however, the chances of you coming across this soundtrack at your local store are very slim, but if you do please don't hesitate to add it to your collection.  I'm sure you'll be more than happy.
