If you've yet to delve into the world of Harry Potter, then you've been missing one of the most imaginative worlds ever created.  JK Rowling's masterpiece of literature tells the story of Harry Potter and his journey into the world of magic.

 

For the first 11 years of his life the orphaned Harry knew nothing of his magical heritage.  Then, on his eleventh birthday his eyes are opened to the amazing world of his parents.  From magical shops hidden from the eyes of the muggle(non-magic) world to an entire school dedicated to training underage witches and wizards on how to use their gifts, the world of Harry Potter is brought to life page by page.

 

Harry Potter and the Sorceror's stone is the first book of the series, and sets the stage upon which the following books are portrayed.  What is hidden in the 3rd floor corridor on the right hand side?  What is Quidditch and how's it played?  Why does Professor Quirrel where a turban and act so skittish?  All these questions and more are answered as only JK Rowling can, but even more are raised, only to be answered in later volumes.

 

This book is a wonderful read for anyone from young to old, and I highly recommend it to anyone willing to take a chance on something slightly out of the ordinary.  Don't be surprised if it works its magic on you, and has you clamoring for every scrap of Harry Potter information just like the rest of us.
