Financial Rewards of Faire

While many people who attend faire assume that because it costs a whole bunch of money to get in, food and crafts are expensive and the actors and others aren't paid very much (and even have to provide their own costumes in most cases) that the Powers That Be must make money Hand Over Fist.

Speaking as a stockholder, let me say, "Uh, not quite."

While it does seem that individual faires DO make money, taken together, well let us just say that I have yet to see a dividend check.

And, generally speaking, reverse 3to1 stock splits are NOT a good thing.

On the other hand, their annual report is an always entertaining explanation of the various flat and downward spiraling lines.
