I was raised in Ohio and fished Lake Erie, specifically the Portage River and Fremont area, numerous times. When I turned the ripe age of 18 I joined the military, which located me in the states of Maryland, Louisiana, and Florida. I made it a priority to fish as much as possible in each state and acclimate myself to the regional differences each state offered. I dabbled in the saltwater fishing arena whenever the urge hit me, and believe me I got the urge every weekend while stationed in Okinawa, Japan. The bottomline is that I have acquired and possess a little experience in the different techniques necessary to catch various species of fish.
