Hooper Alexander V
BORN: 12:03 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2001, Women's Hospital, Greensboro,
N.C.
WEIGHT: 7 pounds, 2 ounces
LENGTH: 19 1/2 inches
HAIR: Strawberry blond (what there is of it)
ATTITUDE: Very laid back, much like his big sister. And how cool is this: Three nights after coming home from the hospital, he was sleeping five hours at a stretch at night.
Hooper, age 2 days, preparing to leave the hospital and go home. This photo is a little misleading because he's propped up on a raised hospital bed. The translation of the French on his outfit is "Mama, Papa and me."
Hooper dozing in his car seat as he prepares to go home. Already he has absorbed Daddy's road rules: Always eat, sleep and go to the bathroom whenever you get the chance, because there will be times when you don't get the chance.
Hooper at home with big sister Victoria, who is thrilled to meet him.
Victoria awakens from a Saturday nap to find a 3-day-old infant in bed with her. (He's not crying; that's a yawn.)
Hooper meets his paternal grandmother, "Memie."
Hooper V being held by Hooper III next to Hooper IV. Laugh if you like, but the last time there were three Hooper Alexanders in the same room was 1934, so this is a big deal for us.
Have car seat, will travel.
