Joey's Fortieth Birthday 

A few notes before we start the show

  3. Person who is speaking is black and bold
  4. Notations of scene changes are written in *brown*
  5. Directions of how a line is spoken is in (green)

* As the scene opens we find ourselves in the Tanner living room. Seated there are Danny, Becky, Jessie, DJ and Steph.*

DJ         I can't believe Joey is turning forty!
 
Steph   I can, 'cause I was about Nicky and Alex's 
                age when he and Dad turned thirty.
 
Becky   You know, they say when a man turns forty,
                he starts his second childhood.
 
Jessie   How can Joey start his second childhood 
                when he hasn't even finished his first?!
 
Danny   OK everybody.  Settle down.  Let's start 
                planning the party.

~ Full House Theme and opening credits roll~

Danny   Who should we invite?

~ Michelle comes down stairs~
#Note: Due to space constraints Michle is equal to Michelle.#

Michle   What are you guys talking about?
 
Danny   Who we are going to invite to Joey's party.
 
Michle    Oh.
 
DJ           How about all of Joey's old girlfriends?
 
Becky    How many are there?
 
Jessie    Let's just say, you don't have to take your
                shoes off to count them on your fingers and
                toes.
 
Steph    Uncle Jessie, you make that sound like a bad
                thing.
 
Michle    Yeah, at school they told us; a boyfriend 
                or girlfriend is not like reading a 
                newspaper.  You shouldn't get a new one 
                just because you have seen it before.

~Kimmy enters though the front door~

Kimmy   Howdy Tannerenos!  What cha doin'? Havin'
                one of your famous family meetin's?
 
DJ           Not exactly.  We're planning a birthday
                party for Joey.
 
Kimmy   So, how old is moose man gonna be?  50, 60?
 
Michle     No Kimmy, that's your IQ score.
 
DJ            He is turning Forty.

~Phone rings Michelle answers~

Michle    Hello?  ~Listens~  Yes, Joey is home.  May 
                I tell him who is calling?  ~Listens~  OK,
                Eddie, we'll get him.

~Steph gets up and goes to the back door.~
*Scene Closes* 


*Scene Opens with Steph at back door.*
~She opens it.~

Steph    (Hollers) Joey! Your manager is on the
                phone!
 
Joey      (Unseen & hollering) Ok! I'll take it in 
                the kitchen.

~Steph goes back into the living room we go with her~
*Scene closes* 


*Scene opens in Tanner living room and we hear*

Joey      (Voice from kitchen) OK! I got it.
 
Michle    Do we have to invite Roxy? She was kinda 
                weird and she liked making fun of us.
 
Jessie    What about Allison Axlrod? If she comes
                the rest of us will be wearing the party.
                Joey gets so clumbsy around her. 
 
Danny    My sister will want to bring Ginger, her
                chimp.
 
Jessie    How about the infamous Patty Fogerty?
        
Becky     Who is Patty Fogerty ?
 
Steph    She was Joey's college love.  She left Joey 
                by leaving him a note on her new 
                boyfriend's stationary.
 
Becky    (Half whispered) OUCH!
 
Danny   I saw her a couple days ago, and she said
                she's getting married and would be on her
                honeymoon next week.
 
Kimmy   How 'bout Mrs. Charuthers?
 
DJ           Kimmy! It's Joey's birthday, not a track 
                meet.
 
Kimmy   Isn't it a surprise party?
 
Steph     Yeah.  But we want it to be a fun surprise,
                not a nasty surprise like a heart attack!

~Nicky comes barging though the kitchen door~

Nicky     (Excitedly & repeatedly) He's coming!
 
Becky     Slow down. Who is coming?
 
Nicky      Uncle Joey!

*Scene ends* 


*Scene Opens in Tanner living room*
~Joey comes though the kitchen door with Alex tagging behind~

Becky    (Whispers) Thanks Nicky.
 
Joey      Oh good!  You are all here.  I just got off 
                the phone with Eddie.  He told me that
                Wayne Newton asked for me personally!  The 
                chimps are holding out for more money on 
                their new contract.  I start Monday! They 
                don't know how long they are going to need
                me for.
 
Alex        But, Uncle Joey, isn't next Tuesday your
                birthday?
 
Joey       I've worked on my birthday before.
 
Danny    Could you take Tuesday off, if you wanted
                 to?
 
Joey       Why would I want to do that?  How many 
                people get to say they spent their 
                birthday on stage with Wayne Newton?!
 
Danny    I guess you have a point.
 
Joey       I am going to start packing.

~Joey runs upstairs~

Becky    Nicky, Alex, why don't you go and see
                if you can help your Uncle Joey pack.
                (Whispers) Let us know when he is coming
                back down stairs.
 
Boys      OK Mom.

~They go upstairs~ 
*Scene ends* 


*Scene opens in Tanner Living room*

Steph     Now what are we going to do?
 
Becky    Well, it looks like we are going to
                Vegas.
 
Kimmy   Wow! This will the first time I'll
                be in Vegas without Duane.
 
Becky    But, Kimmy I meant...

~Kimmy runs out the front door~

DJ           Too late.  She's gone.
 
Jessie    I heard The Beach Boys were playing
                Vegas next week.  Maybe we can get
                them to stop by.
 
Danny   Sounds like the music is taken care of. 
 
Michle    What about Little Richard?
