My hobby... Radio Controlled Helicopters
I have been fascinated by helicopters since my army days. The mechanics and aerodynamics are very intricate compared to fixed wing aircraft. And helicopters can do outrageous things like fly sideways, backward and hover. Our model helicopters can loop, roll, and even fly inverted. These maneuvers make an infinite combination of aerobatics if one is up to the challenge.
The model helicopters are built from kits. There are lots of nuts, bolts, metal, plastic, bearings, shafts, engines, mufflers, radio receivers, servos, and batteries to keep the most avid tinkerer happy. This is the most fun and engrossing activity I have ever pursued.
