Great portraiture is visual poetry -- it has the ability to tell a story, and capture those elusive moments that transport you emotionally with every viewing.

I have been a portrait photographer for over 20 years. I have been told I have a gift for capturing the essence of my subjects, and that has always been my goal. Although Black & White portraiture is my specialty, whether I am shooting b&w or color film or digital images, my forte is using natural light to create portraits that are spontaneous, yet poised in a journalistic style.
