Born 27 August 1957, at San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.
Married 4 August 1984, at Knights Ferry, California.
Britta received her bachelor's degree in history from California State University, Fullerton; her teaching credentials at California State University, Fresno, and her master's degree in education and school counseling at California State University, Stanislaus.
She was superintendent of the Curtis Creek Elementary School District in Oakdale, California. Prior to that, she had been a learning director, a teacher of world history, science, and art, and principal in the district.
In the summer of 2009, she left Curtis Creek for anothe superintendant position.
