Hosted Peninsula Crossing Walk from
 West Coast Health & Fitness


Early morning workers were treated to a beautiful sunrise.

The Peninsula Crossing Trail begins at the railroad cut near Willamette Blvd. and
is part of the Portland 40 Mile Loop trail . After crossing Columbia Blvd. it enters a new park area with pictographs, & then crosses a new pedestrian bridge over the Columbia Slough. It continues on the dike trail past the Heron Lakes Golf course to the edge of the Portland International Raceway where you may view heron and other wildlife.

A 2K additional option was available by driving to Kelley Point Park where the Columbia and Willamette Rivers meet. In 1806 Capt Clark took 6 men and found the mouth of the Willamette and went up 5 miles to the St. John's bridge area.
