SELECT EVERYTHING BUT ...
I believe I mentioned the capability of
selecting every file in the right window pane of Explorer
by typing the "Ctrl" and "A" keys
simultaneously. Now, if there are just a few files on
this right pane that you really want NOT to be selected,
you can de-select them one at a time by holding down the
"Ctrl" key while clicking them. Or, another way
to do this same thing (there is ALWAYS another way to do
something in Windows!): start out with your Explorer
righthand pane having no files selected. Then use the
"Ctrl" click sequence to select each of the
files you don't want to copy or move or whatever it is
that you're selecting files for. Now click on the
"Edit" menu and click on "Invert
Selection". This automatically changes the status of
the files you've already selected to unselected and
selects all the others. You can now right-click to bring
up a context menu of possible actions to take.
