FINDING FOLDER AND SUB-FOLDER SIZES

If you click on the folder in the left pane of Explorer, the total file size figure described above does not contain the amount of storage in sub-folders of the original folder. Thus, if you wanted to copy an entire folder and all its sub-folders onto a disk, it would seem you'd have to go to a lot of trouble to calculate total size for comparison purposes with the amount of free space on your floppy. Actually, this isn't true, for all you have to do is right-click on a folder, select "Properties" from the context menu that pops up, and you will see a size field on the General Properties page which includes sub-folders if any.
