EXPANDING ALL FOLDERS IN EXPLORER
When you have the Windows Explorer running, the left pane
shows a folder view of your hard drive(s), floppy drive,
CD ROM, etc. A "+" (plus sign) shows next to
each folder that has a subfolder, or a hierarchy of them,
underneath it. You can click on the plus sign to expand
the list of subfolders (and then the plus sign will
change to a minus sign, which you can click in order to
close up the expansion.) If you wanted to expand all
folders on your hard drive at once, there's a neat trick
that will accomplish that: you click once on the drive
you want to expand, in order to select that drive, and
then you type the asterisk key ("*") on your
numeric keypad. (The other asterisk key, which you type
by holding down the Shift key while pressing
"8", will not work.)
