REDUCING THE START MENU SIZE
Note: this tip should be read in conjunction
with AUTO-HIDING THE TASK BAR in the Task Bar Tips
category.
While you are at this Task Bar Properties page
(described in the tip above), try clicking on the option
for "Show small icons in Start Menu". This
wording is not altogether accurate, for what having this
option checked will do is reduce the size of your Start
Menu. (Of course the icons do get a bit smaller also.)
Having it unchecked means your Start Menu and the icons
on it will be as big as possible. That's something you
might find especially handy when you have to stare at the
relatively tiny screen of your laptop computer.
