LOCK THE TASKBAR IN WINME
You may have discovered accidentally that you
can click and drag the Windows Taskbar to any edge of the
screen. You might also have discovered accidentally that
the Taskbar can suddenly appear taller than it usually
is. You can resize the Taskbar intentionally by holding
your mouse cursor over the top edge of the Taskbar until
it turns into a double-pointing arrow, and then clicking
and dragging in an upward or downward direction. In
Windows ME, there is a way of preventing this from
happening. You can lock the Taskbar so it cannot be moved
or resized by performing these steps: right click on any
empty part of the Taskbar, click on Properties from the
context menu that scrolls up, click on the Advanced tab.
In the lower window, at the bottom in the Taskbar
section, click to uncheck the item Enable Moving and
Resizing, and then click OK.
