ADJUSTING THE DATE AND TIME
Rest your mouse pointer on top of the time of
day in the Task Bar for a moment, and up pops a
"tool tip" that displays the day of the week
and the date of the year. How do you adjust either the
date or the time? Just double-click on the time, and you
are immediately taken to the dialog box where you can
adjust these values. When daylight savings time either
ends or starts, for example, you might need to do this.
But you should also know that the Date/Time Properties
dialog box has a tab where you can set your time zone and
tell the computer whether or not to automatically adjust
for daylight savings. (To set the time zone, just
position the mouse cursor near your geographical location
on the map and click.)

By the way, if you want to get rid of the clock on your
Task Bar, then right-click on the time, select
"Properties" from the context menu that pops
up, and then deselect the entry for "Show
Clock".
