USING WORDVIEWER TO READ MS WORD DOCUMENTS
Do you have Microsoft Word on your computer? If so, then
you don't need this tip. Otherwise, you might find it
useful if you ever have to try and view Microsoft Word
documents. You should be able to find the installer
program for WordViewer on your original Windows 98 CD in
the \Tools\Viewers folder. Double click on the file
called Wd97vw32.exe to install the viewer. You can not
only view a Word document with all its sophisticated
formatting features, but you can also print it; you just
cannot edit it. If they are present, you can see the
tables in the document, as well as headers and footers,
columns, embedded graphics, etc. The program allows
viewing of the document in Normal view, Online Layout,
Page Layout, Outline view, and Master Document view.
