USING TASK SCHEDULER TO OPEN PROGRAMS
AUTOMATICALLY
Perhaps you like to start up Windows with the same
program every time you boot up your computer. (You always
like to surf the internet, perhaps, or open up your
email.) You can use the Windows 98 Task Scheduler to
cause this to happen. Begin by clicking on the Start
button, then on Programs, next Accessories, then System
Tools, and finally Scheduled Tasks. Click on the Add
Scheduled Task icon. Read what it says, then click on the
button for Next and browse for the application you want
to open. Click the Next button and choose When My
Computer Starts. Finally, click Next, and Finish.
