NEW ITEMS ON THE WINDOWS 98 START MENU
One of the new items added to the Start Menu by
Windows 98 (or Internet Explorer version 4 running on top
of Windows 95) is the Favorites folder. This menu
contains shortcuts to any World Wide Web sites which you
have chosen to bookmark in your internet browser. You can
thus easily go to that web site by clicking on it. If you
are not currently connected to the internet via your
browser, it will automatically start up.

Another addition to the Start Menu, only by Windows 98,
is Windows Update. This allows you go to Microsoft's
Windows 98 Update web page, where you can automatically
download any patches or other enhancements to the
operating system that Microsoft has made available.
