DELETING OR MOVING START MENU ITEMS IN WINDOWS 98

In Windows 95, if you wanted to delete a program icon or a folder from the Start Menu, or if you wanted to move it to a different location, you had to right click on the Start Button and choose Explore. This would give you a "rooted" Explorer view of the Start Menu Folder inside the Windows folder, and now you could perform any operations you desired. Windows 98 allows you to right-drag items right from the Start Menu in order to send them to the Recycle Bin or to another location in the menu hierarchy, or to your Desktop. This is a very handy feature. By the way, you cannot delete the following items on the Start Menu: Shutdown, Find, Settings, or Programs.
