MODIFYING THE LOGO SCREEN
If you don't want to eliminate the screen, perhaps you
would like to modify it in some way. The display file is
called LOGO.SYS, in your root directory, but although the
extension is "SYS" it is really a normal
Windows bitmap file. If you want to modify it you could
use MS Paint, the default paint program that comes with
Windows. Or you could substitute another bitmap graphic
file (usually has the file extension ".BMP") of
your choice: just rename the old one to LOGO.BMP, say (in
case you ever want to restore its use, it's a good idea
to save it), and rename your new graphic BMP file to
LOGO.SYS. You can do something similar with the screen
that you get when you shut down Windows. This screen file
name is LOGOW.SYS.
