DRAG A SHORTCUT TO THE PROGRAMS MENU
Most installation programs will add a shortcut to the
installed program on your Desktop as well as an item on
your Start Menu. If you have only a shortcut on your
Desktop, and you want to quickly add it to your Start
Menu, you can do so by dragging and dropping it to the
Programs menu. And, no, you don't have to open the Start
Menu first; instead, after you have grabbed hold of your
shortcut from the Desktop, you drag it on top of the
Start button, and keep holding it there until the Start
Menu opens up. Then drag it to Programs item on this
menu. If you drag with your left mouse, this will create
a copy of the shortcut on the Programs menu, so you'll
still have it on your Desktop too.
