QUICKRES
Another of the Microsoft PowerToys originally available
for Windows 95 is QuickRes. This puts a little icon in
the System Tray area of the Taskbar, which you can
right-click to get a menu of possible display resolutions
that you want to set your monitor at. This utility is
built-in as part of Windows 98. If you don't see the icon
on your Taskbar (it looks like a small display monitor),
then right click the Desktop and choose Properties from
the context menu that rolls up (or down.) Then, when you
are brought to the Display applet of the Control Panel,
you need to click on the tab for Settings, and then on
the button for Advanced. Click to put a check mark in the
box reading "Show settings icon on the
taskbar."
