FULL SCREEN VS. WINDOWED DOS SESSIONS
If you still run DOS programs, or go into the MS-DOS
Prompt, then you may want to know how to go back and
forth between full-screen and windowed modes. If your DOS
window shows a toolbar at the top, then one of these is a
little icon that looks like a box with arrows that point
in the four directions: up, down, left, and right. When
you click on this, you will switch the DOS session to
full screen mode, and now you won't see the toolbar. On
the other hand, say you are in full screen mode of a DOS
session; then to switch to windowed mode (and restore the
toolbar), you need to press the Alt key and the Enter key
simultaneously. Another way of going from windowed mode
to full screen mode is this same Alt + Enter key
combination.
