DELETE THE WINDOWS UNINSTALL FILES
If your hard drive is getting smaller and smaller (it
seems) and you're looking for some large files to get rid
of, in order to gain more space, one possibility is the
Windows Uninstall files, which allow you to go back to
your previous version of Windows (assuming you upgraded
over a previous version.) Doing this means you cannot go
back to your previous Windows version, Windows 95,
without reformatting your hard drive and then
re-installing from your old CD or floppy diskettes. If
you're ready to do this, here's how: click the Start
button, click on Settings, then Control Panel, click the
icon for Add/Remove Programs, click the tab for
Install/Uninstall. Scroll the list of programs installed
on your computer until you find "Old Windows/MS-DOS
System files". Click on that, and then on the Remove
button.
