MANAGING YOUR INTERNET EXPLORER FAVORITES
I do a lot of "surfing" of the
internet, and I have over 300 different web sites saved
in my Favorites list. These are all organized into a
system of folders and subfolders. On the Favorites menu,
you can click on Organize Favorites, and then you will be
able to create and delete items or move them around or
rename them. The items, of course, can be folders,
subfolders, and the names of the web pages as saved in
them. But if I want to do a relatively massive job of
reorganizing my Favorites, I prefer not to use Internet
Explorer to do it. I use Windows Explorer instead. How
can that be? Well, the normal location for your Favorites
folder is a subfolder of your Windows folder. (Actually,
I have moved mine to my D: drive, so that I can share it
between the two Windows operating systems I multi-boot
between, 98 and ME.) But wherever your Favorites folder
is stored, it is just much easier to create, rename,
delete and move things around in Windows Explorer.
