MAKE MODEM CONNECTION NOISE GO AWAY

Are you tired of all the noise your modem makes when it connects up to the internet? You can easily make it go away. Click on the Start button, then Settings on the Start Menu, then Control Panel. Now double click on Modems. Next click on your modem in the list at the top of this dialog box and click the button labelled Properties. Click on the tab for Connection, and on that tab click on the button for Advanced. In the Extra Settings box you see in this dialog box, type "ATM0" without the quotation marks. Note that the last character is a zero, not a capital letter O. Now click OK, then again, and then Close.
