DISABLE AUTOCOMPLETE IN WINDOWS 98
Windows 98 has an AutoComplete feature built into it to
help save you typing. It works in both Internet Explorer
and Windows Explorer, by keeping a list of the URLs or
file names you type in at the address bar. As you type
something new in, it will offer you anything from this
list that matches what you have entered so far. (You
accept the autocomplete entry just by typing the Enter
key.) If you don't like this feature, you can turn it
off. This is the way to do it: in Internet Explorer (or
in Windows Explorer), click on the Tools menu, and then
click on the item for Internet Options. Now click on the
Advanced Tab. Remove the check mark from the Use
Autocomplete option in the Browsing section by clicking
on it. Click on the OK button.
